CAAP PURPOSE

CAAP builds up and strengthens primary care residency programs and faculty, collaborating with partner church hospitals to see African Christian physicians leading robust primary health care teams who demonstrate exceptional medical skills, spiritual maturity, and missional focus.

Exemplify the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus and His shalom.

CAAP MISSION

Our mission is to build up and strengthen primary care residency programs and faculty, collaborating with partner church hospitals by:

Building the capacity of family medicine physicians to effectively equip and lead the multi-disciplinary scope and depth of the primary care team,

Promoting training for other primary care specialties: internal medicine, pediatrics, and emergency medicine,

Providing frameworks and resources for curriculum, professional, and spiritual development that prepare graduates for missional service, including among the marginalized and those most in need,

Pledging mutual standards of excellence in training, programming, and performance, and

Stimulating transformative mentoring networks among leaders and graduates.
