Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Our Mission:

The Christian Academy of African Physicians (CAAP) supports programs that teach and mentor African physicians and primary care providers who empower the Body of Christ  to continue the teaching and healing ministry of the Great Physician.

Our Vision:

African physicians engaging healthcare systems to provide every person in their community compassionate care that exemplifies the healing power of Jesus.

CAAP VALUES

• Patients are Primary: We embrace, in humility, the opportunity to continuously learn from the patient as our primary teacher; always striving to grow and improve our care. We prioritize the delivery of compassionate and wholistic care that addresses patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

• Quality of Character Matters: We are professionals who exercise honesty, integrity, excellence and perseverance in all we do as we serve in Jesus’ name.

• Respect: We respect all people, rich or poor, exalted or marginalized, regardless of gender, faith, education, position, clan, culture, or diagnosis. This includes respect and honor for human life from beginning to end, including the unborn, those who have disabilities, and the elderly.

• Servant Leadership: We emulate Jesus Christ by willingly serving others with respect, love and compassion. We commit to continued growth in our relationship with the Lord, encouraged by our discipleship relationships, as we walk with Him so that we can be faithful as servant leaders.

• Teamwork:. We recognize that our unique gifts and abilities are complementary within a unified team. Teachers and learners are bound together in a living exchange so that both are growing, ultimately becoming more Christlike through their relationship and work. Organizational partners that collaborate well can go farther together.

CAAP is affiliated with Christian Health Service Corps in the US through which it has obtained its 501c3 status for fund raising and administrative support and has its office in Nairobi, Kenya for the purposes of organizational leadership and residency program development.
