African primary care specialists are not simply needed as providers of high quality medicine, pediatric, essential surgery, operative obstetric, psychiatry and emergency and trauma medicine, but often function as hospital administrators or supervisors of the regional community health program.
CAAP seeks to assist church hospital residency program directors and faculty as well as residents to advance academically by facilitating online advanced degree acquisition in public health, hospital administration, education, as well as networking residency educators with others to advance their academic careers through research projects leading to co-authorships on publications.
CAAP is excited to offer you an educational opportunity to enroll in an online Master of Education for Health Professions (MEHP) degree program (https://phu.nextgenu.org/mehp/ )
CAAP is seeking six African-based CAAP affiliated residency program faculty to immediately begin the online course “Preparing to Study” by August, 2026 and then start the MEHP program in September, 2026.
The MEHP is a three-year program. All coursework is completed online as asynchronous learning, without any need for travel.
Scholarship funding can be applied for a substantial portion of the $70USD tuition for each course. You will be responsible for the first semester payment of $140 but the scholarship pays tuition after that.
For more information: AfricaCAAP@gmail.com or contact Susan L. Radecky, MD, CAAP MEHP Liaison, email: oviatt4@comcast.net, WA: +1 616 633 6452
CAAP will meet with the cohort members monthly to reflect upon their learning and to assist them in their spiritual growth during the program. These are mandatory sessions that are linked with the scholarship and with the support of CAAP.
